Workaholics are very hardworking and, at the same time, passionate about the work they pursue. They are those stubborn creatures that believe in their efforts more than anything else. They believe in themselves and strive to create their destiny.

Success does not come to intelligent people, but to those, who have the right attitude to achieve it. And it is the workaholics that have it in them. Even if, you do not have the talent, your hard work makes you fly high, and then, the sky is the limit!

This sets them in a different time zone distant from reality. They create a different headspace and physical space for themselves.

Workaholics lose big time in their personal space. Their life generally revolves around their work and hardly have any time left in hand to share their space with their loved ones.

So, maybe, when they have a look back in time, they might just see unaccounted hours spent in their workspace walls. To you or the workaholic you know, just halt and live your life with your dear ones. It is so because once they leave, you won’t have them around to talk despite you having all the time in the world to spend with them.

2. Health Issues

Working a lot takes a toll on your health, not only in the physical context but also, mentally. You spend hours in front of your laptop in solitary confinement of your room, with no space to breathe fresh air. Thus, it becomes vital to balance out everything and devote some time to health as well.

3. Loses on the Ease in Life

Workaholics are generally serious creatures and perfectionist. This makes them lose onto many things in life. Being a perfectionist all the time may hamper their interpersonal growth. Therefore, they feel different fun when they lose themselves a bit and get away from the routine.

4. More Money but Fewer Memories

Hey you workaholic! You even spend your weekends working. Right? Undoubtedly, you will have a hefty bank balance because of your professional achievements. But, to quench your mental thirst, you need memories and not money after a given point of time.

We as humans need some time out for ourselves to recharge ourselves. When you would check your Facebook account after many years, your timeline would be empty with no memories to cherish.

Years later, you would find no people around to share your happiness and sorrows with. You would've no stories to recite to the young generation around you, apart from your professional attainments. Just break the monotony and give yourself some break to create memories thst you may cherish about.

5. Materialistic

At times, you become a workaholic because you want money and desire to gain all the materialistic pleasures. Is life just about measuring your success in terms of material possessions?

I believe you need to cut down on your greed for material desires to help you set free from the clutches of workaholism. Being too materialistic won’t fetch your soul salvation; instead will entangle your spirit all the more. Set yourself free.

Now, that you know both pros and cons, look at the clock. It shouldn't be to check the deadline of the work, but rather calculate your time to be spent away from the work. It's time to munch on your favourite snack and chit-chat with your loved ones! It's time for a B-R-E-AK!
